For air-conditioning or cooling systems installed below the backflow level, Wilo offers condensate lifting units tailored to the project.

On top of that, fire protection regulations differ from country to country and are being constantly tightened. One of the major challenges is that extinguishing systems that meet the high demands on their performance often also require a significant amount of space. This can considerably reduce cost-effectiveness in buildings with intensive space usage. Nevertheless, human lives are at stake, and conformity with the strict requirements of the generally accepted rules of engineering applicable in Germany and the EU with regard to construction and installation must be verified.

The bank itself had set a number of objectives when it came to the sustainability of the building – one of our main requirements was to only provide high-efficient pumps with efficiency class IE4 to ensure compliance with BREEAM criteria. Alvaer Tower

235 metres of Construction excellence.

With 235 metres, Alvear Tower is the highest residential tower in Argentina and the most relevant development in the City of Buenos Aires. The mixed-use development complex contains several condominiums as well as a five-star hotel. One of the main challenges was, due to the height of the building, how the water would be pumped without recurring to really high-pressure booster sets. It was solved by using intermediate break tanks at different stages from where the boosters will be supplying to several floors. The water is lifted to those break tanks through multistage vertical pumps.
